I've been busy / link roundup

Although some of it is old news by now...

- Black man tasered nine times in 14 minutes by white cop, including two times while he was unconscious. He died.
- CBS covers for John McCain's dangerous stupidity/lies. Despite outrageous incidents such as this, McCain supporters still think their candidate is getting "unfairly negative" press coverage.
- Dick Cheney was going to address injured vets; however, his invitation was rescinded when the vets deemed his "security measures" draconian & unreasonable.
- Over a million disappear from Indiana's voter rolls; Indiana continues to use decertified electronic voting machines. Also of interest, three states may be illegally purging their voter lists.
- University of Florida & Catholics go in together on being ridiculous.
- Church shooter & domestic terrorist Jim David Adkisson was a fan of Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly; he hated "liberalism," even though as a food stamp recipient, he depended on it.

About This Blog

...
My dad says, "Thirty years from now, all sorts of information will be coming out" in regards to the Bush administration swindle, this period of ineffectual & pathetic mass media, our current state of affairs. I agree that there will still be issues to discuss, there is lots of important information available NOW--it's just being largely ignored. It is so hard to figure out these days who is lying, who is telling the truth, who is just making noise. The more I read the news, the less I know what is actually happening, who is actually in control, the policies actually shaping our lives. As such, I post on things that I have read about and done my best to verify. While I am sometimes given to being "alarmist" (which I don't think is a bad thing--don't alarms save lives, homes, and cars?), as a rule I try to make sure what I discuss here is credible and accurate. I do believe it is impossible or nearly impossible to know the truth; I do not pretend to know "the truth"--but I do think it is extremely important to ask questions, to try to find certain pieces of truth. It IS up to YOU to read from a variety of sources and discover these things yourself.
